One of the great non profits in the area is continuing to build relationships and support the community through their work and dedication to building people up.
Caleb Yanno, Executive Director for the Akron Dream Center joined WAOH to talk about their mission as well as discuss their upcoming fundraiser gala on October 13.
Caleb said that the organization based in East Akron specializes in helping the community through not only practical needs like food and other kinds of assistance, but also through mentorship.
When it comes to the gala, here’s what folks can expect when they go to the Galaxy in Wadsworth for the 5th annual event.
” They can expect great food, performances, lots of great items in our raffle,” so it should be a great time,” he said.
The event starts at 5pm on Sunday and all proceeds go to the Akron Dream Center to help fund their different programs.
Caleb says it’s great working with a group of people that want to help make a difference in their community and their staff and volunteers make the Akron Dream Center what it is.
“We’re very much volunteer driven, and we can always use more,” he explained
