This summer, every week on Friday and Saturday beginning on May 2nd, visit one of Akron’s most historic landmarks. The Hower House Museum, located on 60 Fir Hill, was built in 1871 by John Hower and Jacob Snyder, and is full of beautiful furniture and other treasures. RSVPs are welcome, but not necessary for the event. Tickets are $10 for adults, $8 for senior citizens (65+), and $2 for all University of Akron students (with present ID). Children 12 and under are free. Additionally, admission is free for anyone with a valid North American Reciprocal Museum Association card. There are no online ticket sales, so all cash or credit must be accepted at the door.
