On this Thanksgiving Day We Give Thanks for You, our Viewers and Supporters
WAOH Television is in its beginning stages. The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. We have taken that step but we know there are thousands of miles to go to get to where we want to be. The vibe in the WAOH studios is that of a start-up, the clear underdog operating with drive and sharing the belief that there is so much to accomplish. We know there are endless possibilities for a TV station based in Akron and dedicated to Akron. We see numerous ways WAOH can work to serve and elevate our community. The team of broadcast and media production professionals that came together to form WAOH are passionate about Akron. This team is on a mission to serve our community and produce broadcast quality content on par with or better than what larger market TV stations produce. The programs and content we are planning and the broadcast schedule we envision is far greater than what we are doing now. Our strategy is to produce what we are able, to cover what we can with limited resources in order to maintain broadcast quality standards. It’s expensive and time consuming but it’s happening. The WAOH team believes in the idea of local television as a community service and we want to explore the tremendous potential this idea has to its fullest.
With that, on this Thanksgiving Day we reflect on how grateful we are for the views, likes, follows, shares, comments and community support we have received. Akron has responded and we are so thankful. We see you, we hear you and we want to serve you and the entire community with more great local content. By subscribing and following you have become the biggest part of what we do. Your response motivates us to do more. Our work is just beginning and there is still so much to do. The WAOH team is in it for the long haul and your support motivates us to keep going. We are out in the community looking for stories, recruiting additional journalists and personalities and of course, seeking local sponsorship and financial support. Certainly there are challenges, roadblocks and doors that won’t open for us, but we press on because of you.
